Who doesn’t love a weekend in wine country.  How about a weekend in wine country coupled with celebrating a wedding for one of your best friends? Um… count me in!

And since I know some of you probably love wine as much as I do, I wanted to share some of our favorite spots from the weekend.

First, if you are planning a trip to wine country and you live here in Phoenix, definitely check out flights from Allegiant. They fly direct to Sonoma, which made it really easy to get there!

Long Meadow Ranch – Farmstead:  This spot was amazing! Farmstead is a restaurant that uses all their ingredients from their own farm, so it is truly a farm-to-table experience. They even have their own vineyard, so we were able to drink their locally produced wine.

 

Huge Bear Tasting Room: If you make your way to Calistoga, Huge Bear is a must!  Their staff is incredibly friendly, and the wines are amazing.  Their winery also has a history that is so unique.  A few snip-its from their story – their winemaker was formally a chemist, their label came from an old children’s book, and their tasting room is a restored bank building. Sound intriguing?

 

 

Calistoga Inn and Brewery: While in wine country, we indulge in wine.  But we also love a good brewery!   Calistoga Inn was the perfect lunch spot, with alfresco dining, incredibly fresh food and craft beers.  They also offer lodging as a bed and breakfast, if you need a place to stay!

 

 

Triple S Ranch: This is where the wedding took and place, and it was INCREDIBLE.  The property has a restored Victorian home, a rustic barn reception venue, along with multiple bungalows to allow guests to stay onsite.  Since I was in the wedding, Matt and I had the privilege of staying onsite and would literally walk out of our bungalow to vineyards.  I don’t think I can even articulate how special the venue was, and it was a perfect fit for the bride and groom.
