So being that this is my first blog post, and I created this blog as a way to chronicle our newlywed lifestyle in Arcadia, it seemed only fitting to have the first post be about Valentine’s Day!

Matt (my husband) and I are serious foodies – you can read more about us hereLiving in Arcadia has definitely continued our love of food and dining out since there are so many amazing restaurants. On Valentine’s Day, we usually get the chance to go somewhere extra special, so I created a list of my top 5 romantic and special date spots listed below.  Enjoy!

1. Elements:

We are somewhat partial to this spot, as Sanctuary Resort is where we got married. Elements is a romantic restaurant with world-renowned views of Camelback Mountain. They are doing a prix fixe menu for Valentines day this year that looks amazing! Chef Beau is very well-known in the culinary community and never disappoints. While this is a pricier option, it is an experience your Valentine date won’t forget!

2. The Henry:

The Henry is a Fox Restaurant Concept located on 44th and Camelback. The Henry offers an amazing dining experience, without a significant cost.  The food, in my opinion, is spectacular. They offer a variety of delicious options, no matter what you are in the mood for.

**Local tip: be sure to make a reservation, and if the weather is nice, try to sit on their heated patio. The dining room can get noisy from time-to-time (especially when it is a busy night).

3. Lon’s at Hermosa Inn:

Lon’s is an amazing restaurant for any meal of the day, especially their brunch. Being that Valentine’s Day is on a Sunday, Lon’s could be the perfect spot for a romantic brunch in Phoenix’s beautiful “winter” weather. If you like sweets, don’t forget to order their sticky buns for starters or as a dessert!

4.  Steak 44:

It wouldn’t be a romantic Valentine’s Dinner without a glass of Merlot and a nice juicy steak (am I right?)! In terms of cost, Steak 44 is definitely a pricier option, but it’s worth it because they have one of the best steaks in the city. Reservations are definitely a must, as this is a popular Arcadia spot, and a local fave for Valentine’s Day.

5. Pizzeria Bianco:

If you have been living in Phoenix, you are probably familiar with Pizzeria Bianco downtown. They have recently opened a Pizzeria Bianco in Arcadia (near 20th street and Camelback) in the Town and Country shopping center. Matt and I love this Pizzeria Bianco location because it is rarely as busy as the downtown location (we are talking little to no wait!) and it has a very romantic, date-night feel.  Pizzeria Bianco always uses the freshest ingredients and has a seasonal menu.

**Local tip: I suggest ordering off the seasonal menu; everything is fresh and in-season, and allows for the opportunity to try something new.

  1. Love this so much!! Can’t wait to check these places out when we come visit again 🙂

  2. Love this! Really good ideas now I’m hungry haha I need to try Lon’s!

  3. I’m impressed, I have to admit. Rarely do I come across a blog that’s both educative and entertaining, and let
me tell you, you have hit the nail on the head. The problem
is something which too few men and women are speaking intelligently about.
I’m very happy I found this in my search for something concerning this.
